Marmari, an ideal destination for either a weekend break or for a longer trip, is just a stone’s throw away from Athens, and only an hour’s distance from the port of Rafina.
How to get here - By ship
The ‘Panorama’ and ‘Evia Star’ Companies run ferries to Marmari from the port of Rafina, Attica. The boats from Rafina sail throughout the year, and in summer there are daily sailings. The Port of Rafina lies about 30 km from the centre of Athens, and only 10 km from Athens International Airport, Eleftherios Venizelos. The trip takes one hour, and on the route you will be able to enjoy seeing the pretty little Petaloi Island cluster.
An alternative route is from the port of Aghia Marina. There are daily sailings from Aghia Marina to Nea Styra, which take 45 minutes. Nea Styra is 27 km, or about a half hour drive, from Marmari.
Turn right out of the Port of Marmari. Our hotel complex is about 1 km down the road.
How to get here - By Car
If you love driving, the Athens - Lamia National Road might be your best choice for your visit to Marmari. At Schimatari turn off right towards Halkida, carry on over the suspension bridge, and after crossing onto the island, turn right at the junction (traffic lights) towards South Evia. Marmari is about two and a half hours’ drive from Halkida.
